Intersession Courses

Intersession courses run for two weeks, from Dec. 28 - Jan. 9. Classes will not be held on Jan. 1 and Jan. 3 when the university is closed.

The Add/Drop date for winter courses is the same as the start date, Dec. 28.

For information about class details and prerequisites, visit VCU’s spring semester Schedule of Classes and select “Intersession Course” in the attribute type box. Intersession section numbers begin with a “V.” 

Class times for courses that meet synchronously run from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m., Monday through Saturday. Class times for asynchronous online courses are listed as 00:01 to 23:59 (12:01 a.m. - 11:59 p.m.). This is simply to prevent students from accidentally registering for multiple courses. For schedule details, view the modality section in the course schedule on eServices.
